The Yacht Harbour Association’s prestigious Gold Anchor Award Scheme, which rates marinas in terms of excellence from one to five, has awarded Premier's Port Solent Marina the top accolade of Five Gold Anchors.

Port Solent award

Designed to offer boat owners a trustworthy yardstick to help them make the right judgement when looking for a berth, the awarding of the scheme’s top rating is a recognition of the outstanding facilities on offer at Port Solent. Located in Portsmouth Harbour, the marina has 800 berths, 400 of which are owned and operated by Premier. And in addition to its facilities, it has an enthusiastic and professional team, as Gareth Turnbull, TYHA General Manager, recognises: “Our assessment of the berth holders’ satisfaction at Port Solent proves that Premier Marinas is helping to set the standard for UK marinas. Port Solent offers a sheltered, safe and secure location manned 24/7 every day and the facilities on offer are superb, not least the exceptional shower and toilet blocks. This marina offers a full range of leisure activities on its doorstep and is known by locals as a good recreational destination.”

Port Solent Marina General Manager, Andy Osman, was plainly delighted with the award: “We are honoured to have been awarded Five Gold Anchors. This prestigious award reflects the hard work of my marina team and our continual investment in our marina services and facilities. We are also very proud of the local services at the marina. Port Solent is a modern, family-friendly and fun marina, offering a lively and vibrant waterside experience and The Boardwalk offers a delightful array of fine and casual dining to cater for all tastes.”
