  3. Oyster 575

    Ipswich, Suffolk
    2013
    £950,000

PRICE REDUCED The Oyster 575 was designed as a replacement for the Oyster 56, a tough act to follow as the 56 was our best selling model with seventy-five launched. The 575 is only a little longer than the 56 but fills the same niche – a safe, comfortable, ocean-going cruising yacht, that is also compact enough to be handled by a couple. When compared to the 56, the 575 has longer waterline, more powerful aft sections and more sail area, but the real difference is in her internal volume, which allows much larger cabins and more space in the saloon and galley. On deck the 575 is the smallest Oyster to be launched with wheels, a great feature that improves the view from the helm, but also permits easy access into the cockpit and below from the aft deck. With nearly forty-five 575s launched from 2010 to the present, exceeded all our expectations, and continues to sell well. There were plenty of options for 575 buyers – the stern could be specified with classic retroussé transom and sugar scoop or extended transom with counter stern. Keel choices were deep high-performance bulb, shoal or lifting keel, and there were other options around the rig and interior layout. Launched in 2013, and specified by an experienced Oyster owner, Helen is a true blue water cruiser and liveaboard. She has a lifting keel, so she draws just 1.65m (5’5”) with the keel up and 3.82m (12’6”) with keel down, giving her unrivalled access to shallower harbours and creeks and reducing dinghy journeys. Helen is easy to handle, with push button hydraulic furling to her mainsail, staysail and genoa. Below decks the owner has tweaked the standard layout; there is a door into the owners stateroom from the fourth cabin, which allows access to the owner’s stateroom without pushing past the chef. Forward, there is an additional head/shower so Helen has berths for eight in four cabins, with three head/shower giving a versatile and flexible layout. Helen is very well presented and her owner has brought her back to Ipswich to be sold, so an early viewing is recommended.

  5. Oyster 625

    Ipswich, Suffolk
    2011
    £995,000

PRICE REDUCED Blue Jeannie was the first of the multi-award winning Oyster 625s to be launched. Built for an existing owner, she was originally commissioned with a view to entering the Oyster Yacht Charter programme conforming to the MCA charter regulations, and equipped to the highest standards to offer the ultimate luxury charter experience. Whilst Blue Jeannie enjoyed a successful charter programme in her first year, the owner then chose to return her to private use, and based her in the eastern Mediterranean, where she was lightly used for three seasons. Blue Jeannie is superbly equipped, and features all the comforts one would expect from a yacht of this calibre. Her specification includes air conditioning, water maker, fridge freezer, state of the art entertainment systems, as well as a wealth of other features, which enable the owner and guests to relax and enjoy everything this luxurious yacht has to offer. The 625 was the first Oyster design to feature the vertical hull ports, or ’seascape’ windows to the saloon, which, when combined with her sweeping ‘g5’ deck saloon windows, and Blue Jeannie's contemporary light maple interior joinery, make for a wonderful light and airy space below. Above decks, Blue Jeannie has a stunning spacious cockpit with twin wheels. The sloop rig features hydraulic in mast furling with powered headsail furling, allow her be sailed short-handed, yet still provide the keenest of sailors with an exhilarating ride. Blue Jeannie has been well maintained throughout her life, and the owner is now looking to downsize to a smaller Oyster.

  6. Oyster 665

    Sardinia, Italy
    2014
    £2,050,000

Call of North is unique, the only Oyster 665 to be launched, and a custom Oyster project.  She is a development of the successful Oyster 655, of which we launched seventeen between 2007 and 2010. Few changes were necessary to the hull, deck or rig, as the 655 was a well established fast cruiser, with excellent performance under sail, and a sleek modern profile. Rob Humphreys’ hull had a finer entry than previous designs and carries her beam further aft, giving better form stability and offwind performance. The most noticeable change was the addition of the triple ‘seascape’ windows to the saloon, a feature that had proved wildly popular since its introduction on the Oyster 625 in 2010. The ‘seascape’ windows allow even more light into the yacht, and give a great view out when seated in the saloon. Call of North was her owner’s second Oyster, and was specified, as her name implies, with a view to some high latitudes cruising, whilst remaining equally at home in warmer waters. Mission accomplished, with a cruise to Alaska completed, she is now back in the Mediterranean, and ready for new adventures. For a powerful yacht, she is surprising easy to handle, with hydraulic push button furling to her mainsail, genoa and staysail. She is also specified to be as autonomous and comfortable as possible with a large 17.5kW generator, full air conditioning, upgraded heating, watermaker, satellite phone, electric toilets and washer/dryer. Below decks she is exquisitely finished in cherry, with V-grooved teak cabin soles, and sleeps eight in four cabins, three of which are en suite. She is owned by an experienced Oyster owner, with a strong engineering background, and has been professionally maintained to a very high standard.
