1971 42' Grand Banks Classic. One of the most versatile BC Coastal tri-cabin pleasure crafts around. This reliable boat has brought so much joy to myself, friends and family. She is steady, strong, and truly gorgeous. We have done three summer trips to Desolation Sound and numerous through the Gulf Islands. This boat requires someone willing to do work regularly, and do some upkeep for this season.
Grand Banks are known for being very well designed. Every inch is well laid out, and very useable. The galley is super spacious, well above the water with 360 degree large windows. Nice size kitchen with 2 fridges, chest deep freezer, 3 gas burner/oven combo, and an oversized sink. Plenty of storage and pantry space. Captain from the Galley or Bridge manual or on the auto pilot system.
This vessel features separated forward and rear staterooms, which is a very nice feature. The customized aft cabin is a full queen bed. The aft features a full bathroom with a separate shower, dresser style drawers on both sides, bedside tables, full standing closet, and classic sliding top hatch. The forward V-berth cabin features a queen bed, drawers, standing closet and has a separate head/shower combo that is a comfortable size.
The flybridge is very spacious to host people, bbq, lounge, or captain the boat. Bimini cover offers shade, but is easily removable. The aft deck has plenty of storage space for toys of all kinds. 360 Walk around deck with 12V windlass and oversize anchor for any conditions.
This vessel is powered by twin 120 Ford Lehman engines, both just over 2400 hours. Very clean, plenty of life left! Excellent fuel economy. The engine room has plenty of space to work, water heater, new diesel generator, and everything is clearly laid out. She cruises comfortably at 8.5 knots.
Hauled out recently (Jan 2022) for bottom paint and maintenance.
Winter cover completed in Jan 2022 and included in price. ($10,000 value)
