Contest 33

The Contest 33 is a seaworthy cruising yacht with good performance. They are built to a high standard and offer comfortable interior accommodation. This example has been in it's present ownership for twelve years, but could benefit from updates and tidying.

The accommodation offers up to six berths in two cabins. Forward cabin with V berth, with infill converting to a double. Stowage below berths and shelves above. Opening hatch to foredeck. Heads compartment aft to port with sea toilet. Pull out wash basin with manually pumped water supply. Stowage. Hanging locker opposite with a range of drawers. Main saloon with L shaped sette to port, with table converting to a double berth. Stowage below, outboard and above. Settee opposite to starboard, with stowage below, above and outboard. Opening hatch to deck. Galley aft to starboard with Plastimo Neptune 2000 two burner gas hob with grill. Stainless steel sink with manually pumped fresh water supply. Good stowage. Built in 1971 by Conyplex N.V. Holland, to a design by U.van Essen and Dick Zeal. White GRP hull and superstructure, with blue moulded-in, non-slip to decks. GRP bulwarks. Long encapsulated fin keel. Teak rubbing strake. Tiller steering to skeg hung rudder. Aft self draining cockpit, with teak slatted seating and stowage under. Teak cockpit grating. Fixed cockpit windscreen. Teak coachroof handrails.
