1. CONSTRUCTION

Hand laid-up composite construction designed and finite element modelled and analysed to exceed ISO 12215-9 requirements.

Monolithic vinylester/glass laminated hull shell below waterline with upgraded epoxy glass and carbon secondary structure in the keel floor areas.

Cored vinylester/glass hull shell above waterline.

White standard hull with twin boot top stripes and cove line in RAL No. 7001.

Antifoul in Seajet Platinum – Black.

DECK CONSTRUCTION         
Moulded in white GRP with PVC foam cored structure for strength and insulation. In load bearing areas, core is replaced with plywood for additional strength and all load bearing fittings have backing plates.

DECK FINISH                     
Teak laid decks, rolled edged bulwark with clean GRP finish.

Weather deck, cockpit seats and sole areas are finished with quarter-sawn teak planking with no visible fastenings.

Stanchions and cleats mounted on the bulwark. Scupper drains installed along deck edge preventing staining during wash-downs.

SALOON

7.TANKAGE AND PLUMBING

FUEL                                   
3,200 litres approximately (703 Imp gallons/845 US gallons) in 2 x GRP tanks. Multiple inspection covers. Fuel is transferred to the main tank from the second tank using a 100 litres per minute Jabsco sliding vane pump. Duplex fuel filter units specifically designed to remove water from the fuel system by centrifuge. Incorporating a water trap and drain cock.

Fuel and water tank breathers and quarter-turn valves (MCA requirement).

Reverse fuel polishing system and reverse oil separator.                   

WATER                               
2,000 litres approximately (440 Imp gallons/528 US gallons) in 2 x GRP tanks.

TANK TENDER GAUGES        
Tank gauge system is installed and linked to all tanks, enabling the monitoring of fuel and water levels. This can be done by the Skyships monitoring system or with backup dipsticks on each tank.

HOT WATER                        
From two insulated approximately 93 litres (20 Imp gallons/24 US gallons) tanks, heated by the engine’s heat exchanger or by thermostatically controlled 230v, 2kW immersion heater elements powered by the generator or dockside power. One tank serves forward areas; the other serves the aft areas.

Valving arrangement so in an emergency the entire boat can run off either pump.

PRESSURISED HOT AND COLD FRESHWATER SYSTEM              
Standard freshwater system includes two coil calorifiers and two pumps with valving so in an emergency the entire boat can run off either pump.

GREY WATER
Six grey water sump tanks, each fitted with a float switch and Whale Gulper pump giving automatic evacuation of all showers and washbasins. The galley sinks pump directly overboard via a Whale Gulper pump activated by a Vimar rocker switch.

Shared automatic discharge tank for the washing machine.

BLACK WATER                     
2 x central GRP black water holding tanks for all 5 WCs. Each tank is configured for discharge below water or pump out.

MANIFOLD SYSTEM            
Two bronze manifolds for seawater inlets to reduce through-hull fittings. One manifold dedicated to engine and generator, the other is for refrigeration, air conditioning and other equipment.

All seacocks are dezincification resistant copper alloy quarter-turn ball valves with stainless steel handles.

Water strainers are Aquafax heavy-duty 50mm chromed bronze.
