Description

The Hanse 320 was initially conceived as an upscale Daysailer or Cruiser/ Racer, with a lovely varnished Cherry interior and teak seating and a teak floor in the cockpit.  Her self tacking jib, low friction track system and 3 line Dutchman mainsail makes shorthanded sailing a breeze, and the large cockpit (as large as the Hanse 400) allow lots of friends to join you in the fun.

History

This is hull number 3 of the Hanse 320 line, and is in some ways a semi-custom boat with SS water, holding and fuel tanks for example (later boats have plastic tanks).  She arrived in the fall of 2008, just in time for the Annapolis Boat Show.  This was a demonstrator till 2011 (under GE dealer financing, club use was not allowed), when we refinanced her and she entered the membership program at Sound Sailing Center.  With 4 boats for 15 members (normally we have 7 members per boat) we have too many boats and the 320 sees very little use, so are offering this 320 for sale at a very attractive price.   This year we replaced the mainsail and have done numerous upgrades.   She has never had any storm damage or insurance level damage claims.   I am a big fan of glassed in grids, as they are far more damage resistant (older Hanse's all had glassed in grids) than glued in grids.  We glassed in the grid after we saw some separation of the grid and hull 4 years ago.   We estimate the engine hours at about 1200.    She has had some use but shows well, is in great shape and is ready for any adventure.
