Intrepid of Dover designed by legendary yacht architect Ed Dubois, has proven strength and speed in all conditions from ocean crossings (Atlantic, Pacific etc) to coastal cruising from the Channel to the Caribbean. Cruised and lovingly looked after every year from build in 2000 by her original owners, she has performed in every condition from storms to pleasure regattas including winning the post ARC regatta in 2004. Lovely teak interior throughout, forward bedroom with adjacent bathroom, aft master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, quarter berth, spacious saloon, galley, chart table, centre cockpit, proven Selden in mast furling and genoa, Yanmar 4JH3E 56 hp engine, which has been regularly serviced, and oil changed every 100-150 hours. Re-rigged in 2010 (she didn't need it, but we rerigged just to be sure), new sails 2015, new Raymarine electronics including 4 cockpit displays and new radar and AIS in 2013, enhanced keel designed by Dubois 6 feet draft and 61 foot mast height is just right for Intra Coastal Waterway cruising in the East Coast of the USA. We are reluctant to sell this lovely yacht, but new owners may be able to spend more time on her.

Yanmar 4JH3E is an eco friendly model, 4 cylinder which provides economical reliable power to propel Intrepid at 6.5-7knots at 2800rpm. Regularly serviced, the only semi major replacement required was a new fresh water cooling heat exchanger in 2015. Apart from that, clean fuel and clean oil have kept this engine starting at the first turn of the key every time, and every condition. We have changed the injectors, and the normal pressure fuel pump not because they had failed, but to be sure before a long ocean passage. The 360 litres of fuel will power Intrepid for about 1000 miles at 2000 rpm.
Built with reinforced strings, chainplates and shrouds, Intrepid was constructed using vaccum glass fibre technique for maximum strength, and vinyl ester to prevent osmosis. The original fin keel was amended by Ed Dubois naval architects to a bulb keel with an extra 1/3 tonne low down to provide greater stiffness for speed and stability. It also makes a big foot for on land storage!
Master bedroom with en-suite provides a double and single bed, forward cabin with double V berth has adjacent 2nd bathroom, quarter berth provides additional accommodation and/or storage, 2 single berths in the saloon if required.
