Description

The Oyster 56 is quite possibly one of Oyster Marine’s most successful models, with some 76  hulls on the water. They have huge comfortable cockpits and as many as four cabins for owners and guests. Below decks, machinery and systems are easily accessed, and there is plenty of space for accommodations, provisions, and spares for long-term cruising.

One of the more notable features not found on other yachts of this size is the huge VIP cabin forward with its queen-sized berth, giving guests a cabin nearly as large as the owner’s cabin aft. Everything about the Oyster 56 says comfort.

GRACE was purchased in 2001 by her current owner when the boat was nearly one year old. Since then the owner has employed the same captain to look after her to a high standard with a no-expense-spared approach towards maintenance and upgrades.

Some winters were spent cruising in the Caribbean with family and friends, and some were spent stored inside in Rhode Island receiving improvements for future sailing enjoyment.

Summers, based out of Bristol, Rhode Island, were spent day-sailing Narragansett Bay with short cruises to the islands of southern New England and longer cruises to Maine. GRACE has never been chartered, only privately used.

Some of the more recent upgrades to GRACE are as follows:

  • Spars removed, stripped and painted
  • New standing rigging
  • New lifelines
  • New electronics
  • New generator
  • New windlass and ground tackle
  • New refrigeration
  • New Force10 galley stove
  • New batteries
  • New rib and outboard

..and many more.

GRACE is a well-found Oyster 56 with a consistent ownership history. With her many upgrades, she is sure to provide her new owners with many miles of sailing enjoyment.
