NEW FRERS DESIGN performance sailing yacht project, capable of ocean voyages and extensive cruising on high seas. Welded aluminum hull and superstructure construction. All exterior decks are covered with teak. This new JONGERT 3000M will be built/ outfitted according to Lloyd’s Classification and Large Yacht Code (LY2) requirements. 1 GENERAL 1.1 Introduction This preliminary short specification sets forward the requirements of a performance sailing yacht, capable of ocean voyages and extensive cruising on high seas. Welded aluminum hull and superstructure construction. All exterior decks are covered with teak. The yacht will be built/ outfitted according to Lloyd’s Classification and Large Yacht Code (LY2) requirements. Suitable lockers, drawers or chocks and brackets to be provided. Items marked with (DW) are part of the dead weight of the yacht, a total of 3.500 kg is reserved for these items. 1.7 Tender Tenders (Owner’s supply) One guest tender on the foredeck, type “ Jet Tender 14 “ . 2 HULL, SUPERSTRUCTURE AND PAINTWORK 2.1 Hull The hull will be an all welded aluminum construction. In general the hull will be build based on a lightweight combined transverse and longitudinal framing system, according LRS SSC regulations, with additional longitudinal stiffening in the forward slamming area where required. 2.2 Keel The keel will be a “lift keel” hydraulic operated in order to reduce the draught. 2.3 Deck The deck construction will be locally reinforced in way of bollards, mast collar etc. 2.4 Superstructure The superstructure, will be a welded aluminum construction welded to the hull. 2.5 Paintwork The paint system of the area under the waterline will be a paint system of Awl Grip® or equal. All surfaces to be high gloss finish with exception of deck house ceilings which will have a matt finish. The interior paint system shall be a system of Hasco, or equal. 3 CONSTRUCTIONAL OUTFIT 3.1 Stern door, Windows and Portholes, Stern door/ Swimming Platform A folding stern platform will be installed. This platform will act as: a swim platform, as mooring area for tenders, and launching and retrieving for the tender. Windows The superstructure will have continuous windows along the side as reflected on the General Arrangement Plan. The windows will be glued flush in the superstructure and will be of gray tinted glass. Thickness of the glass will be according to the Classification Society. Portholes Portholes will be fitted as shown on the General Arrangement Plan. Portholes will be not to open and glued in a recess in the hull. The bottom of this recess is angled down to prevent collecting of water. 4 DECK EQUIPMENT AND REMAINING OUTFIT 4.1 Steering Equipment Steering system A mechanical system will be installed. Stainless steel wheels, including mechanical lock, with emergency steering in the lazarette. Rudders Two (2) semi-balanced spade rudders. Bowthruster A hydraulic operated pivoting bow thruster will be installed of approx 40 kW. Make Hydromar or equal. 4.2 Anchor and Mooring Equipment Anchor storage One hydraulic anchor winch with gipsy, chain roller and stopper will be installed below the foredeck. The yacht will have an anchor manipulator which swings the anchor from below deck to the anchoring position . Anchors One (1) CQR type bow anchor, weight according classification society with corresponding U2 galvanized anchor chain. One (1) Fortres anchor stored in the fore peak. 4.3 Bollards The yacht will be provided with eight (8) stainless steel pop-up cleats. 4.4 Winches and Sheet System The winches and sheet system will be installed according the sail and deck plan. Standing Rigging The standing rigging will be executed in nitronic-rod, dimensions as per rigging plan. Running Rigging All Dyneema halyards and sheets are spliced and ends finished with reaving eyes or whipping. Headstays The yacht will be equipped with three Reckmann hydraulic furlers. Headstay Innerforestay Code “0” 4.6 Deck Covering All Exterior decks will be covered with teak. Teak deck with margin planks around the perimeter of the superstructure. The thickness of the teak deck will be 12 mm. 5 INTERIOR 5.1 Lay-Out As indicated on the General Arrangement Plan. 5.2 Galley Equipment. The galley will be fully equipped for a full complement of both guests and crew. Refrigerator and freezer, cooking appliances, dishwasher and was- and drying equipment will be provide. 6 ELECTRIC AND ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS 6.1 Electricity and generator In general the electrical installation will be divided in a 230V / 400V AC 50 Hz system and a 24V DC system mainly for navigation lights and electronics. The 230V / 400V AC distribution will be executed as a 3-phase or/or system. The 24V-DC system will be a complete 2-pole floting system. Maintenance free service battery set, 24V/1500 Ah Maintenance free start battery set, 24V/265 Ah A shore connection will be installed with a capacity of 35 KVA 3 phase 400V AC 50Hz 63A. One (1) Kohler generator will be installed, 28 kW, 3 phase, to provide the 230/400V-AC system. 6.2 Communication, Navigation and Entertainment Systems One (1) computer network will control the electronic system on board. The following network can be identified: Alarm Monitoring Control System Alarm, monitoring and control, power management system, tank sounding, etc. Entertainment The owner’s cabins, main salon/dining and crew’s mess will be provided with Bose audio equipment and Sharp LCD screens. The monitoring system will be operated by means of three (2) touch screens. 7 MAIN MACHINERY Engine type: One (1) MAN D2866LXE40-rated diesel engine, 279 kW at 1800 rpm. Gearbox for Main Engine One (1) ZF 325-1A. Propeller One (1) “variable” Maxprop / Gori 8 AUXILIARY SYSTEMS Bilge Pump The bilge system which will be installed on board consists of: One (1) 400v-50 Hz, electric driven bilge pump. One (1) bilge pump driven by the main engine. Water maker One (1) reverse osmosis water maker will be installed in the engine room. Producing a total of 3000 liter/day. The membranes will be installed in a location outside the engine room. Make H.E.M. or equal, including a sand filter; charcoal filter and chlorifier. Hot water system Hot water will be supplied by one (1) 205 liter boiler with a separate "Elkassete" heating element and one (1) circulation pump. Sewage treatment A sewage treatment plant, make Hamann (Super Mini plus-frame) or equal. 9 VENTILATION, AIR CONDITIONING AND HEATING Fresh Air supply Fresh air will be taken in from the main mast and will be distributed by means of 2 ventilators and will be led to the air conditioning fan coil units in order to enter the interior. Fan coils Each cabin will be equipped with suitable Cruisair / MarineAir or equal, fan coils. All cabins, which are foreseen with fan coils, will be controlled with a digital control. Heating system By means of chill chasers in fan coils.
