Designed by superyacht powerhouse, Vripack, and built by prolific German yard, Bavaria Yachtbau, Keizer’s first entry will apparently be an open 42-foot runabout that combines high-end looks, feel, space and comfort with a price much keener than the market has yet witnessed.
In fact, Siep Keizer and Jos Brehler, the men behind the new brand, have gone as far as to describe the new boat’s combination of talents as a “unique segment”.
Thanks to his extensive experience in international yachting, Siep is acutely conscious of the current market and believes that there is plenty that can be improved upon - and having been involved in the design alongside Vripack, he is plainly delighted that the first model is now ready: "It was my dream to develop a yacht that not only looks fantastic, but is also practical and affordable."
And his partner, Jos, clearly shares Siep's enthusiasm: “There is not a single yacht that comes even close to the Keizer 42 with this mix of dimensions, inside space, practical convenience and price. We charge nearly half the price of our competitors (with prices from €235,000) and that is made possible by means of a unique approach, with serial production at Bavaria Yachtbau and an exclusive dealer model."
Although the 42 is inspired by the traditional runabout, it comes with a choice of two Volvo Penta motors (either twin D4 300s or twin D6 400s) or a pair of Mercury 320hp petrol engines. The 3.99-metre beam generates plenty of practical living space, including a huge cockpit with a single-level deck, extremely generous seating and a full external galley. And a cabrio roof stowed above the screen rim enables the occupants to rig rapid shelter if the weather turns.
Down below, the hotel-inspired accommodation comprises a master bedroom with two sofas and a king size bed, plus a fully equipped heads compartment with 1.9 metres of headroom and an additional guest suite aft.
