This video shows how a massive wave crashes over a Cornish headland – just one of our favourite amazing moments from the recent stormy weather.

Over the past few months we have often been reminded of the absolute power of nature, a power of which we, as seafarers, are already very aware. But when these waves come crashing into our coastlines we are given a sobering wake up call to the fact that we’re an island nation and the sea and its power is never far away.

The sight of the power of the sea at its height is awe inspiring and captivating, as well as frightening. It is a foolish man who thinks he can control it or is stronger than the mighty ocean wave.

Massive wave Cornwall

The video may be grey and dull, but the massive wave is impressive watching.
