Run at the same time as European Yacht of the Year, the sea trials for the European Powerboat of the Year 2013 competition were held for the 25 nominated boats. The expert jury consisted of editors form the following magazines: Barche a Motore (Italy), Båtliv (Norway), Boote (Germany), Marina CH (Switzerland), Neptune (France) and Yachtrevue (Austria).

Flipper 670ST

The Flipper 670ST is one of the candidates in the "Up to 25 Feet" category

The candidates were split into five categories for thorough inspection and testing before they were judged with the help of a specially formulated scoring system. Key criteria include performance, comfort, safety, interior arrangements and value.

During Flagship Night by Delius Klasing (publisher of the magazines YACHT and Boote, which are in charge of the respective contests), the class winners will be invited on stage on Saturday January 18, before the overall winner is announced and given the official title of European Powerboat of the Year 2013.
